FACTS GALORE

ALL ABOUT brazil

Brazil is a massive and amazing country in South America! It's home to the world's largest rainforest - the Amazon - where jaguars, monkeys, and pink dolphins live. From bustling cities like Rio de Janeiro with its famous beaches to the incredible diversity of the Amazon jungle, Brazil has it all! This fantastic country is known for soccer, colorful festivals, delicious food, and being one of the world's biggest food producers. Brazil also faces big challenges with protecting its forests and fighting climate change, but it's working hard to find solutions.
RESIDENTS
About 213 million people live in Brazil in 2025, making it the 7th most populous country in the world! Brazil welcomes millions of international tourists each year who come to explore the Amazon, enjoy the beaches, and experience the culture.
LANGUAGES
Portuguese is the official language of Brazil, and it's spoken by almost everyone in the country. But Brazil is also incredibly diverse with languages! Over 150-200 indigenous languages are still spoken by native communities, especially in the Amazon region. The languages with the most speakers include Tikuna, Guarani Kaiowá, and Kaingang. Some communities also speak German, Italian, and Japanese - languages brought by immigrants who moved to Brazil over the years.
INDUSTRY
Brazil's economy is like a giant puzzle with many important pieces! Agriculture accounts for about 8.4% of Brazil's GDP and 16.2% of total jobs. Brazil is a global leader in producing coffee, sugar cane, soybeans, and oranges. When you include the entire food system, it makes up about 22% of Brazil's economy! The country is also getting very good at using artificial intelligence (AI) and technology to help farmers grow crops more efficiently. Manufacturing, services, and technology companies also provide millions of jobs. Brazil is becoming a leader in "green technology" - finding ways to grow food and make energy without harming the environment.
